Recycling high-H₂S produced water
The challenge: A customer’s produced water contained exceptionally high hydrogen sulfide, entrained oil, and solids. Previous treatment attempts had failed and replacement with freshwater had been recommended.
Terra’s solution: Terra engineered a customized recycling process to remove H₂S and entrained oil while separating suspended solids and producing clarified brine suitable for completion and workover use.
The result: The facility has recycled more than 12 million barrels since 2021 while consistently producing water suitable for continued operations.

Solving chemical-injection inconsistencies
The challenge: Inconsistent chemical dosing during fracturing operations made it difficult to optimize treatment programs, while third-party chemical pumping fees added unnecessary cost.
Terra’s solution: Terra engineered an automated Chemical Injection Trailer with system redundancies, cloud communication, precise dosing, and real-time reporting. Integrating chemical injection with water transfer also allowed labor and troubleshooting resources to be shared.
The result: The customer gained more consistent treatment performance, improved visibility into chemical use, and a more efficient overall operating model without the added third-party pumping burden.
